Yogconnection was founded by Raghav, an artist with a visionary spirit and an authentic charisma. His journey into yoga began in 2014 during a transformative teacher training course in Rishikesh, India, on the serene banks of the Ganges River. It was here, in the heart of the yoga capital of the world, that Raghav fell deeply in love with the practice. Inspired by this profound connection, he opened his first yoga studio,Yogconnection, where the sacred energy of the Ganges flowed into every practice. The studio became a sanctuary for travelers seeking personal growth and spiritual healing. After Rishikesh, Raghav’s vision took him to Pokhara, Nepal, where he set out to fulfill his dream of hosting an international yoga festival in Nepal—a dream that took five years to manifest. Last year, Raghav succeeded in hosting the festival not once, but twice, drawing yogis from all over the world. The event was supported by the Nepal Tourism Board, the Metropolitan Pokhara, and the Pokhara Tourism Council, earning extensive media coverage across Nepal.

Yogconnection

Now, Yogconnection has found a new home in Kathmandu, Nepal, in collaboration with Yog Hotel. The studio is tucked away just outside the bustling Thamel district, offering a peaceful retreat with an unobstructed rooftop view of the ancient Monkey Temple—one of the oldest temples in Nepal, dating back over two thousand years. Yog Hotel is a beautifully landscaped property, featuring lush gardens, fruit trees, palm plants, and a koi pond, creating an idyllic space for transformation. Raghav continues to nurture sacred circles filled with kirtan chanting, drumming, and music collaborations with international artists, blending traditional rhythms with contemporary sounds to elevate the experience. His passion for yoga, music, and community continues to inspire and transform, as he creates spaces for people to reconnect with themselves and each other.

Our teachers undergo rigorous and comprehensive training, immersing themselves in every dimension of yoga.

Their education includes anatomy, Ayurveda, pranayama, yoga asana, meditation, adjustments, alignment, modifications, and yoga philosophy, as well as the subtle practices that nurture both body and mind. Drawing from the traditional methods of study in India, they carry forward the ancient wisdom of yogic science with authenticity, respect, and dedication.

Beyond technical knowledge, our teachers embody the yogic lifestyle—living with mindfulness, compassion, and balance—so that their teaching extends far beyond the mat. They are warm, approachable, and committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities can learn and grow. Each class is designed not only to cultivate strength and flexibility, but also to inspire inner awareness, balance, and peace.

Passionate about sharing yoga from its original source, our teachers guide students on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation. Their mission is to make yoga accessible and meaningful for everyone, one breath and one class at a time.

Shrijana holds a Master’s degree in Yogic Sciences and is an esteemed certified yoga teacher from Nepal. Her passion is to deeply engage with her community and every student she meets. In addition to yoga, she practices craniosacral therapy, providing gentle yet transformative healing that restores balance to both body and mind. She has a profound love for animals and children, and she teaches with compassion, patience, and understanding.

Her magnetic energy reflects her beliefs, and whether in class or in daily life, her devotion to yoga and a mindful lifestyle is truly empowering. Her greatest joy is helping people reconnect with their inner light, radiating peace, positivity, and warmth wherever she goes.

She is a compassionate, selfless community volunteer for local orphanages in Kathmandu.

A lifelong learner and seeker, Helen embraces practices that deepen her connection to the present moment. She is also a dedicated mindfulness practitioner, photographer, and distance runner, finding inspiration in movement, stillness, and creativity alike. An introvert at heart, she cherishes her own energy and the quiet spaces that allow her to journey inward. Grounded in the belief that life only unfolds in the now, her mission is to awaken fully, to walk the middle path, to travel lightly, to surrender and embrace the adventures along the way.
